On This Day - August 30, 1970. The Ansett Airlines Douglas DC-3-232A VH-ABR, having been dis-assembled at Melbourne (Essendon) was transported by road to Melbourne (Tullamarine), where it was re-assembled and placed on display outside the Ansett Maintenance Facility. |

On This Day - August 30, 1981. The Air New Zealand / Qantas Airways Lockheed 188C Electra ZK-TED operated its final revenue service, operating Flight TE332 from Brisbane to Wellington. It was then ferried Wellington to Auckland where it was withdrawn from service and stored until being sold to Nomads Inc the following year. |
