Ownership of the Qantas Empire Airways Short S.23C 'Empire' Class flying boat VH-ABF 'Cooee' was transferred to British Overseas Airways Corporation. This aircraft had been isolated in the western sector of the 'Horsehoe Route' in February 1942, due to Japanese war activities in south-east Asia. It was reregistered as G-AFBL.

The Qantas Airways Airbus A380-842 VH-OQH 'Reginald Ansett' departed Melbourne (Tullamarine) where it had been stored since April 01 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, on its ferry flight to the United States (Victorville) for long-term storage as Flight QF6001.
