The Trans-Australia Airlines Boeing 727-276A VH-TBJ 'Joseph Banks' was rolled out at Melbourne (Tullamarine) in the airline's new 'camel-hump' livery.

On This Day - October 30, 1984.

The Trans-Australia Airlines Airbus A300B4-203 VH-TAA, that had been leased to Condor Airways as D-AITA for seven months, arrived back at Melbourne (Tullamarine) at the end on the lease. It did not return to service with Trans-Australia Airlines, but was prepared for lease to Air Niugini as P2-ANG.

The Boeing 747-238B VH-EBA returned to service with Qantas Airways, following its lease to Air Lnka, operating Flight QF43 from Sydney (Kingsford Smith) to Auckland (New Zealand).

The Air New Zealand Boeing 767-205ER ZK-NBD 'Aparima' arrived at Auckland (New Zealand) in the basic 'Varig' livery, having completed its delivery flight from the United States (Seattle / Everett).

The Jetstar Airways Airbus A321-231 VH-VWT arrived at Melbourne (Tullamarine) having completed its delivery flight from Manilla (Philippines) as Flight JST992, where it had been repainted into the 'Jetstar' livery.

Virgin Australia announced its intention to acquire the Western Australian airline Skywest Airlines.

 

 

On This Day - October 30, 2015.

The Qantas Airways Boeing 737-838 VH-VXQ 'Redland' operated its final service in the original livery as Flight QF447 from Sydney (Kingsford Smith) to Melbourne (Tullamarine). It was then ferried from Melbourne (Tullamarine) to Townsville as QF6101 for repainting into the special 'Retro Roo II' livery.
