The Australian National Airways Douglas DC-3-232A VH-ABR 'Kanana' was chartered by the Australian Commonwealth Government, for use by the Royal Australian Air Force. It was cancelled from the Australian Aircraft Register the following day and allocated the Australian Military Aircraft Registration 'A30-3'.

On This Day - September 10, 1968.

The Ansett-ANA Vickers Viscount 720C VH-RMQ was leased to MacRobertson-Miller Airlines, so that it could upgrade its service on the Perth - Port Headland route. It was delivery to Perth three days later.

On This Day - September 10, 1974.

The Ansett Flying Boat Services Short S.25 Sandringham Mk.4 flying boat VH-BRC 'Beachcomber' operated the airline's final flying boat passenger service from Sydney (Rose Bay) to Lord Howe Island. It returned to Lord Howe the following day to pick-up assorted airline equipment. This flight was the airline's 1,360th and last flying boat flight to Lord Howe.

The Ansett Airlines Boeing 737-377 VH-CZC operated its last revenue service as Flight AN55 from Sydney (Kingsford Smith) to Melbourne (Tullamarine). It was then ferried Melbourne (Tullamarine) to Auckland (New Zealand) as Flight AN4805 later that day for maintenance. It was undergoing heavy maintenance when Ansett suspended all operations on September 13, and it did not return to service. It had flown 43,595 hours with 30,789 cycles.
