The Qantas Airways Boeing 747-438 VH-OJA 'City of Canberra' was ferried from the United States (Everett, Paine Field) to the United Kingdom (London, Heathrow) as Flight QF512 in preparation for its record-breaking delivery flight to Australia.

On This Day - August 13, 1998.

The Qantas Airways Airbus A300B4-203 VH-TAA operated its final revenue service, operating Sydney (Kingsford Smith) to Melbourne (Tullamarine). It was then withdrawn from service and stored awaiting sale, having flown some 34,927 hours with 24,395 cycles.

On This Day - August 13, 2006.

The Qantas Airways Boeing 767-338ER VH-OGV operated its last service in the 'Australian Airlines' livery, operating Flight QF6015 from Auckland (New Zealand) to Sydney (Kingsford Smith). It was then ferried from Sydney (Kingsford Smith) to China (Beijing) as Flight QF6015 later that day, for repainting into the standard Qantas livery.
