The Ansett Airlines Fokker F27-050 VH-FNJ, having been leased to Austraian Air Services for 2 years as OE-LFW, arrived at Brisbane having completed its ferry flight from Austria (Vienna) on return to Ansett at the end of the lease. It was reregistered as VH-FNJ on June 16. |

On This Day - June 12, 2002. The Ansett Australia British Aerospace 146-200A VH-JJQ was undergoing heavy maintenance at Brisbane when Ansett suspended all operations on September 12, 2001. The overhaul was approximately two-thirds complete at this point. As no offers were received to purchase the aircraft scrapping was commenced at Brisbane on this day. |
