Entered onto the Australian Aircraft Register as VH-BPE - October 29, 1948 Registered to British Commonwealth Pacific Airlines Ltd Arrived Sydney (Kingsford Smith) on completion of the ferry flight from the United States - Jsanuary 20, 1949 The aircraft was named 'Resolution' It was chartered by A.N.A. to provide extra capacity at peak times - dates unknown This aircraft was destroyed when it crashed into the southern slopes of Mt Sierra Morena, Half Moon Bay It was on approach to San Francisco Airport, California - October 29, 1953 All onboard were killed - 19 persons Cancelled from the Australian Aircraft Register - November 27, 1953 For more information about this accident click 'HERE' |
