Patten (Douglas) - March 30, 1967 Entered onto the Australian Aircraft Register as VH-CZB - March 30, 1967 Registered to Ansett Transport Industries (Operations) Pty Ltd, Melbourne Utilised within the United States for the pilot training of Ansett crews along with 'VH-CZA' When pilot training had been completed the aircraft was prepared for ferrying to Australia - April 04, 1967 Fitted with only 4 rows of seats and 2 x 500 gallon flexible fuel cells mounted on pallets on cabin floor Accepted by Ansett at Long Beach - April 11, 1967 This was the first Douglas DC-9 Series 30 to be accepted by a non-United States based airline Departed Long Beach on the delivery flight to Australia - April 11, 1967 It arrived at Melbourne (Essendon) on completion of the delivery flight - April 13, 1967 Delivery route: Long Beach - Honolulu - Canton Island - Nadi - Melbourne Flight crew: Captains M.
