As it turned out the engine fire extinguishers had been cross-wired duing construction

The left-hand switch activated the starboard engine extinguisher and vice-versa

This 'technical' problem was also rectified immediately

Operated its first revenue service Perth - Port Headland as MV1740 - September 02, 1969

Operated its final revenue service - June 10, 1970

It had flown 2645 hours and 2187 cycles whilst in service with MMA

Departed Perth on return to Fokker at the end of the lease - June 13, 1970

It arrived at Amsterdam (Schiphol) on completion of the ferry flight - June 17, 1970
