The Qantas Airways Boeing 707-338C VH-EBT 'City of Bendigo' was the first airliner to operate the airline's first scheduled service into the new Melbourne (Tullamarine) from Sydney (Kingsford Smith). Later that day it operated the first scheduled service to depart from Melbourne (Tullamarine) to the United States, operating Flight QF530 to San Francisco.
