The ex-United States Army Air Force Douglas C-47-DL '41-19465' having been handed over to the Department of Civil Aviation for use by Australian airlines under the 'lend-lease' agreement and registered as VH-AEU was leased to Qantas Empire Airways Ltd until January 20, 1945.

The Ansett Airlines Boeing 727-277A VH-RMP departed Melbourne (Tullamarine) on its ferry flight to the United States (Seattle, Paine Field) as Flight AN27, for sale to Federal Express and conversion to an 'all-freight' configuration.

The Qantas Airways Boeing 767-338ER VH-OGN 'Partnership' had been wet-leased to Air Nuigini for 11 days. It was operated in the standard Qantas livery with small 'Air Nuigini' titles and decals. It operated its last service as Flight PX3 from Port Morseby to Brisbane.
